Gladstone Church

Gladstone Church is just by the junction of:

The church was built in 1904, severely damaged by the Masterton earthquake of 1942 (see photo), and rebuilt in a traditional style in 1955.

The church is well supported locally. At one time there were separate Presbyterian and Anglican services but more recently services have been combined and held at intervals during the year - especially at Easter and Christmas.  The schedule for the rest of 2009 is:

Sunday 21st December 5 p.m. Christmas Carols and Lessons
Thursday 24th December 5 p.m. Christmas Eve The Christmas story - especially for children

The church is often used for weddings. These must be celebrated by an ordained minister, or priest, who can be of any Christian denomination. The church seats about a hundred.

If you are planning a wedding you may wish to consider the following local services: Wild Jasmine flowers, Entice catering, or Just Jaguar car hire.
